PLEASE HOLD INFOCARD TESTING WHILE I LOOK INTO IE 7 CHANGES

Posted on Friday 24 March 2006

I’ve received many comments like this one from Shigeya Tanabe:

mmm.. This InfoCard auth looks like it’s not working with March 20th version of IE7.  It says “IE has blocked this website from displaying non-secure content”.  instead of prompting to download ‘Microsoft Information Card IE Helper’.

So please hold off on further testing until I resolve the state of this.  I’ve had a really busy week what with the MIX06 conference and everything else.  I’ll post again over the weekend.

Any news on a fix? I am very cerious if my problems were due to my install or this issue. Is there anywhere else I can test my infocard install?

Looks like 5296 is at least partly the answer - http://blogs.sun.com/roller/page/infocard?entry=ie7_build_7_0_5296 . I was able to use InfoCard on https://infocard.pingidentity.com:8443/infocard-sp/login.jsp - but I am still not able to get it to work here. Not sure what the issue is.

[...] We now have bits that make it easy to try out InfoCard from Windows XP.&nbsp You can download them here.&nbsp In other words, we’ve moved beyond the problems of conflicting versions that plagued us earlier. [...]
