{"id":663,"date":"2007-01-24T00:22:47","date_gmt":"2007-01-24T08:22:47","guid":{"rendered":"\/?p=663"},"modified":"2007-01-24T00:25:16","modified_gmt":"2007-01-24T08:25:16","slug":"new-infocard-profile-documents-available","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.identityblog.com\/?p=663","title":{"rendered":"New InfoCard Profile documents available"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Arun Nanda, Mike Jones, and&nbsp;others both at Microsoft and Ping&nbsp;have&nbsp;been working very hard for a&nbsp;long time&nbsp;now to make sure the profile we used&nbsp;to build&nbsp;our prototypes, and then our product,&nbsp;was being&nbsp;fully shared with everyone else who wanted to interoperate.&nbsp;&nbsp;This has also involved&nbsp;an ongoing attempt to make&nbsp;sure&nbsp;the profile&nbsp;was&nbsp;clear enough to be useful.<\/p>\n<p>Today I&#39;m posting new versions that I think are&nbsp;a lot&nbsp;clearer (let me know!)&nbsp; First,&nbsp;here is&nbsp;<a href=\"\/wp-content\/resources\/profile\/InfoCard-Profile-v1-Web-Integration.pdf\" class=\"broken_link\">A Guide to Supporting Information Cards within Web Applications and Browsers as of the Information Card Profile V1.0<\/a>.&nbsp; I think anyone adding InfoCards to their site will find this document useful.<\/p>\n<p>In addition&nbsp;I&#39;m putting up&nbsp;two&nbsp;documents intended for people who really want to get into the details of how to implement the underlying toolkits and platforms.&nbsp; Don&#39;t feel compelled to read them if you aren&#39;t doing this type of work!&nbsp;&nbsp;They are part of&nbsp;the process of working with our colleagues in OSIS, Higgins, etc &#8211;&nbsp;those building Identity Selectors&nbsp;and the system software&nbsp;that powers&nbsp;managed card providers and claims transformers.&nbsp;&nbsp;The papers will&nbsp;also be&nbsp;of interest&nbsp;to academics and people who really like to get way down into&nbsp;how things work.&nbsp;&nbsp; You should begin with <a href=\"\/wp-content\/resources\/profile\/Infocard-Profile-v1-Guide.pdf\" class=\"broken_link\">A Guide to Interoperating with the Infomation Card&nbsp;Profile V1.0.<\/a>&nbsp; I&#39;ll post the second document (the&nbsp;normative technical reference) in a couple of days.<\/p>\n<p>I&#39;m beginning by putting&nbsp;these docs&nbsp;up here so&nbsp;everyone in&nbsp;the identity&nbsp;community can get access to&nbsp;them ASAP.&nbsp; Ultimately,&nbsp;they&nbsp;will appear&nbsp;in many other places, including&nbsp;MSDN.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#39;m posting new versions that I think represent a step forward in clarity&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":68,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[16,19,15],"tags":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.identityblog.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/663"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.identityblog.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.identityblog.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.identityblog.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/68"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.identityblog.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=663"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.identityblog.com\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/663\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.identityblog.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=663"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.identityblog.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=663"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.identityblog.com\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=663"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
