{"id":543,"date":"2006-08-23T21:18:05","date_gmt":"2006-08-24T05:18:05","guid":{"rendered":"\/?p=543"},"modified":"2006-08-23T21:35:13","modified_gmt":"2006-08-24T05:35:13","slug":"trying-out-certificate-behavior","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.identityblog.com\/?p=543","title":{"rendered":"Trying out certificate behavior"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#39;m trying out revocation of&nbsp;my&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.identityblog.com\/\">www.identityblog.com<\/a> certificate &#8211; and changing my site&#39;s private key.<\/p>\n<p>Since we are going where few men have gone before, in the worst case this&nbsp;might lead to&nbsp;abnormal behavior for those logging in with Information Cards over the next twenty-four hours.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Identity blog should only be used for demos with an extra dose of caveats until&nbsp;I report back&nbsp;that the&nbsp;test has been concluded.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Normally this would be a ten minute test.&nbsp; But the task&nbsp;is more&nbsp;daunting&nbsp;since I run my blog in ye-olde-typical-hosted environment.&nbsp; I&nbsp;have no direct access to the machines or web servers or configuration &#8211; or control over anyone&#39;s schedule or priorities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Techies will understand that when you&#39;re not used to this it makes you&nbsp;a bit nervous.&nbsp; But of course&nbsp;this is the way a great many people will experience things &#8211; and that&#39;s what I&#39;m trying to get a feel for.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In theory, when a new site key and SSL certificate are installed, no one should notice anything.
