In this video of the Windows Live ID beta (1:20) we use Bandit's DigitalMe to register and log into Hotmail from a Mac. If anyone has been concerned that Information Cards won't scale to handle large sites, they can relax now. To see another version of the demo, this time using CardSpace, watch this (2:20).

It's exciting to see this technology turn yet another corner. Roll out to 300MM users is no small feat and although it's still in Beta I have every confidence that this stuff headed in the right direction.
It's unfortunately that the article http://www.infoworld.com/article/07/10/23/Microsoft-adds-mobile-single-sign-on-support-Live-ID_1.html doesn't mention the beta support for InfoCard authentication. You should push Microsoft to better publicize InfoCard's existence and importance in today's society. Maybe you could even get Bruce Schneier to chime in. This sort of authentication is typically what he praises.
